DP pledges Net Zero target

DP Medical Systems has unveiled plans to reduce its carbon footprint and achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050 - in line with the target committed to by the NHS.

The company has created a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) outlining how it will reduce its emissions footprint in the coming years.

Rob Atkinson, managing director at DP Medical Systems, said: “We recognise that action is needed from every business – no matter how big or small – when it comes to reducing emissions and the environmental impact of how we live and work.

“In line with the NHS’s target of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050, our Carbon Reduction Plan maps out how we as a key supplier to the NHS will also strive to meet the same goal through a number of initiatives.

"From moving towards becoming a paperless organisation, to ensuring energy use at our offices is controlled as much as possible, and substituting our company vehicles to be electric or hybrid – every little helps.

“As a team we’re all on board with the plan and together, we’re confident we’ll achieve our aim of being a Net Zero business by 2050.”
