Meet the team: Iva Igrec
29 October 2025 In our next installment of ‘Meet the Team’ we chat to Iva, our recently appointed Quality, Health & Safety Admin Assistant.
What does your role with DP Medical involve?
My role at DP Medical is really varied, which means no two days are ever the same. I work closely with my manager on a wide range of tasks from helping with organisation and keeping things running smoothly, to looking after key documentation, tracking compliance, and coordinating audits. Everything linked to health and safety goes through our department, and I also get involved with certifications — those achievement icons you see at the bottom of documents don’t just appear, they have to be earned, and I am learning all about how that process works. I enjoy the fact that each day brings different challenges and opportunities to learn something new.
What do you like most about working at DP Medical?
What I like most about working at DP Medical is the overall vibe in the office. From day one I have felt welcomed, and it is a place where people are genuinely supportive and easy to get along with. I also really value that my work is noticed and appreciated.
Where are you based?
I’m based in the Chessington office and live in Surbiton, London.
Please provide a brief overview of your career history to date
I started out working in hospitality, but over the past two years I have moved into administration. I have gained experience with everything from data management and compliance to keeping teams organised, and I am excited to keep growing in this area at DP Medical.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love anything creative, I am usually covered in glue or paint, making art or crafting candles. I also enjoy being outdoors, going on hikes, and exploring nature whenever I can.
Tell us something not many people may know about you:
I am originally from Croatia and moved to Ireland with my partner when I was 18. We lived there for a year before moving to the UK seven years ago, and fun fact — back when we were still in school, I actually met him in a bakery, so I can personally confirm that love can be found in a bakery!
