We have been the sole distributor for the Global Dental range of operating microscopes for the UK and Ireland for over 20 years. Manufactured in the US, there are currently three models available in the A series which have been specifically designed for dentistry and each with different levels of magnification making it suitable for a range of different dental procedures.
State-of-the art equipment
The Global system is also fully modular allowing upgrades and accessories to be added at any time and offering a range of seating solutions for dental surgery.
With enhanced ergonomic features and high-quality optics, Global is widely considered to be the unit of choice with many specialists and general dentists alike. The direct LED light system gives Global one of the brightest lights available on the market along with intuitive controls incorporating both an orange and green filter. With many different mounting options and additional extension arms available the Global system can be incorporated into most dental practices.
Our knowledge of these products is just second to none and combined with an unrivalled reputation for customer service, back up and support, which has been built up over the past two decades, we have been able to grow this side of our business. This has allowed us to build a dedicated team of internal service advisors, along with our manufacture trained field based engineers, which is really appreciated by our customers as it provides them with added value and sets us apart from our competitors.
Several years ago we made the decision within the dental division to concentrate purely on the microscope side of the business as this was where we believed the growth in the industry could be achieved. Since then, and despite the challenges we have all faced in recent years, we haven’t looked back.
Working with key customers
One of our biggest achievements, and something I am incredibly proud of, is that now 16 out of the 18 UK dental schools currently have Global as their preferred choice of microscope and worked with us to get what they need in place. They have a wide range of the different models available, and many also have a camera system installed to facilitate learning. In addition, when it comes to the dental hospitals, the microscopes are not just supplied to be used clinically on patients but also within the education centres and skills labs. We offer ongoing continued support and training for both those working within the hospital and any courses being run in the educational facilities.
The recommendations we receive speaks volumes for the expertise and customer service we are able to offer, not to mention the high quality durable product we have available. We are often asked for our input and are integral when hospitals or surgeries are being designed and want to incorporate either a single unit or multiple microscopes.
Looking ahead
With regard to our future plans, we are concentrating on continuing to build momentum and growth within the dental division utilising the excellent product and strong market hold we currently. However, we do have some exciting plans to add additional products in the near future which will complement the products we already have and offer even more to the dentistry market in the UK and Ireland.
