New appointments at DP Medical as business continues to enjoy strong growth
22 September 2025 DP Medical is pleased to announce five new appointments across the company.
Nathan Perks has been appointed Theatre and Imaging Territory Manager, with Fiona Howarth the new Scotland ENT and Theatre Area Manager.
Ross Richards takes on the role of mobile service engineer for South/Southwest England & South Wales, with Jay Bowers appointed Field Service and Installation Engineer, and Iva Igrec as Quality, Health & Safety Admin Assistant (QHSE Administrator).
Nathan lives in Southwest London and his role covers hospitals and private care within the London region.
After starting his career as an apprentice salesperson in IT, Nathan moved into medical sales with Karl Storz, gaining experience across ENT, Head & Neck, and wider surgical specialities.
He said: “I worked closely with consultants and theatre teams to run trials, provide training, and manage installations of capital equipment. That experience gave me a strong foundation in both the technical and commercial sides of medical sales. I work with surgeons and theatre teams to understand their needs, provide demonstrations and training, and ensure they have the right equipment in place to deliver the best possible care.”
Fiona is based in Hamilton and her role covers the whole of Scotland. She has worked in the Pharma industry for more than 25 years, having started in the NHS as an orthoptist.
“My role at DP is a hybrid, which involves seeing customers from both Theatre and ENT,’ Fiona explained. “The people at DP are lovely, and the innovative products mean the customers really engage with you. The response from customers has been excellent, which makes gaining access so much easier.”
Ross is based in Reading, and his work takes him across South and Southwest England and South Wales.
He started his career in healthcare as a customer care agent supplying Aids for Living to the elderly, a role which showed he had a knack for finding faults and fixing them.
“I undertook some basic engineer training and advanced from there,” explained Ross. “I moved into the service and repair of hospital beds, patient lifting devices and specialist bathing systems within the NHS and now specialising in medical imaging systems with DP. From an engineering perspective I find the variety of work and locations very enjoyable and rewarding.”
Jay lives near Wakefield, and his role sees him covering a wide area – including Yorkshire, Lancashire, North Wales, Durham, parts of Lincolnshire, Cumbria and the Isle of Man.
He began his career in the British Army, serving for seven years as a formation reconnaissance soldier in the UK and overseas.
Jay said: “After leaving the military, I gained an interest in internal combustion engines which brought me into engineering roles. For DP, my role includes attending customer sites to help with repairs, installations and further training. I enjoy meeting new customers and building a rapport with end users. For me, customer service is a key fundamental part of my role and it’s something I take great pride in.”
Iva lives in Surbiton, London, and is based at DP’s Chessington office. Originally from Croatia, she moved to Ireland aged 18, starting her career in hospitality before moving into administration.
Iva said: “Everything linked to health and safety goes through our department, and I also get involved with certifications. What I like most about DP is the overall vibe in the office. From day one I have felt welcomed, and it is a place where people are genuinely supportive and easy to get along with.”
Headquartered in Surrey, DP Medical is a leading worldwide distributor of products from manufacturers working in the ENT, gynaecology, dental and forensic sectors.
Owen Pemberton, managing director at DP Medical, said: “These five appointments are a sign of our commitment to continually improving and growing the business and I’m delighted with how Nathan, Fiona, Ross, Jay, and Iva have adapted to their new roles within very different areas of the company.”
