DP Medical has welcomed three new members to its team as the company kicks on with its exciting growth and expansion plans.

The arrivals of Alex Dunnage as the South London Area Manager in our Hospital Division, Cameron Hughes-Cheshire, Mediscan Support Technician, and Paul Ward as Service Engineer for the North of England and Scotland, now brings the total number of employees up to 33.

Alex, from Camberley in Surrey, joins from Dolphin Mobility where he was a sales manager. He said: “I love meeting new people and building professional relationships and my new role at DP Medical allows me to do this, and it’s been really enjoyable so far.

“My day-to-day work is very diverse and I spend a lot of time visiting different departments in hospitals, both looking for new business and keeping in touch with existing customers.

“The team here are fun but also incredibly supportive which has helped me settle in and we also have a very personal approach which sometimes can be lacking when dealing with large corporate companies and I think our customers appreciate that about us.”

Cameron, who lives in Purley in Surrey but is originally from Wakefield, has worked in various roles within IT for the past five years. He said: “It’s been a fantastic learning curve getting up to speed with the technical aspects of Mediscan and knowing that this innovative equipment can really make a difference to patients is very rewarding.

“My role sees me either carrying out investigations and repairs or setting up new machines for clients. I may also receive calls from clients and provide support for them, either talking them through issues or helping by remotely accessing a server.

“We provide support for many hospitals around the UK and have a strong rapport with all of them. Being able to travel out to a hospital to fix an issue asap is greatly appreciated by the clients as well and a part of the job that I’m really enjoying.”

Paul, who is from Cumbernauld in Scotland, has extensive experience looking after medical equipment in health and social care settings. Paul said: “My main role is servicing or repairing microscopes, endoscope, and colposcope equipment and I’m enjoying every part of the job but particularly the people that I meet in every NHS hospital and private practice that are always very friendly. I enjoy chatting to the staff and answering any questions they have or if they have any other issues.

“DP Medical cares about everyone, it is a great work environment with a great professional team and this is reflected in the service provided to customers.”

Owen Pemberton, commercial director of DP Medical, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Alex, Cameron and Paul to our growing team. It’s been a really busy year for us so far and we know our customers want the very best value when it comes to service excellence, so we’re proud to be adding to our team and investing in our people.

“We’re currently involved in a number of exciting instillations and projects with customers across the UK and Ireland and our team continues to play a massive part in this success.”
