Rounding off a year of growth and resilience at DP Medical

As 2023 comes to an end, we take a look back at some of the highlights and developments of the last 12 months at DP Medical.

This year has been another period of strong growth for us, securing new distribution deals and introducing teams across the UK and Ireland to the pioneering products we’re proud to offer.

Our own team has also evolved. Rob Atkinson – managing director since 2018, has moved into the position of CEO; commercial director Owen Pemberton has moved up into the role of managing director; Thomas Cryan, who joined the company as sales and service manager for Ireland in 2019, has been named DP Medical’s sales director for both the UK and Ireland; and Jacqui McKenzie – previously our service and tenders contracts manager – has moved into our newly created service director position.

We’ve welcomed new team members, too, expanding our Ireland team as well as appointing new area managers across the UK, adding new faces to our service division, and increasing our gynaecology and Mediscan teams.

New partnerships

The year saw us forge new partnerships with suppliers including Belgium-based DIFRA Instrumentation – one of the world’s leading creators of diagnostic balance disorder equipment; and Neuranix in Italy.

Neuranix selected DP Medical as the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for its groundbreaking med-wave® device - a tool designed to perform gentle, non-invasive middle ear analysis in a matter of seconds.

The devices join our ever-growing list of true market innovations, such as the Trachealator from DISA Medinotec, and the VOIS Implant from APrevent – both of which we introduced last year.

And we’ve loved taking these products on the road to industry events throughout 2023, seeing firsthand the great feedback they receive from sectors and showcasing their capabilities alongside our other market-leading products from suppliers including XION, KAPS and Global Microscopes.

Rising to the challenge

Aside from our successes in 2023, it’s also been another challenging time for many industries who are operating with smaller budgets and more red tape than ever before.

We’ve been proud to support our customers during this time, continuing to offer the outstanding level of value and service excellence we work hard to provide to help them continue to deliver great service for their patients, too.

We’ll continue with this ethos as we move into 2024 – a year which we have big ambitions for.

But, for now, we’d like to thank each and every one of our customers, suppliers and employees for their support and loyalty throughout 2023.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
